FAQ
Questions people ask before signing up.
Is this a shared n8n or my own instance?
Your own. Each customer gets a dedicated n8n process, its own database and its own Kubernetes namespace with network policies between tenants. Nothing is shared except the underlying cluster hardware, and your CPU and memory limits are reserved for you.
Can I install community nodes?
Yes. Community and custom nodes are permitted, which is one of the main reasons people move off vendor cloud. Nodes run inside your own isolated instance, so a badly behaved node affects only you.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your instance is suspended at the end of the paid period and your data is retained for 14 days, during which you can export workflows and credentials or reactivate. After that it is permanently deleted, including backups. You can request an immediate wipe at any time.
Who holds the encryption key for my credentials?
n8n encrypts stored credentials with an encryption key. We generate and escrow that key against your account so an accidental redeploy can never orphan your credentials — the single most common way self-hosters lose data. It is stored encrypted at rest and is never displayed in the portal.
Can I migrate my existing self-hosted n8n?
Yes. Export your workflows and credentials from your current instance and import them into your Nimbuz instance. If you're on small.r or medium.r, we'll do the migration with you on a call, including matching your current n8n version first so nothing breaks mid-move.
Do you throttle outbound requests?
We don't rate-limit normal workflow traffic. We do monitor egress for abuse patterns — n8n can make arbitrary HTTP calls, so bulk scanning, spam or DDoS traffic gets flagged and suspended. If you have a legitimately high-volume use case, tell us up front and we'll set the right limits.
Can I upgrade or downgrade later?
Any time, from the portal. Upgrades apply immediately with a prorated charge; downgrades take effect at your next billing date so you never lose paid capacity you've already bought.
How do you handle payments and invoices?
Payments run through Cashfree, supporting UPI, cards, net banking and international cards. Indian customers get GST-compliant invoices with your GSTIN on them, downloadable from the portal.
